Mike, I need some insite! I did my LBWO today only hit one high, quads. Adjusted the other 2 leg excersices to increase intensity. but while doing my abs...incline situps, last LBWO I did in good fashion. thought I can do a bit more and my abs cramped up bad!!!! Doubled under, halfway through the super set. I couldn't get up I couldn't lay flat. It seemed like forever. That hurt!!! after it relaxed I knuckled up and did my last set of 12 (floor crunches) and stretched. Is this common? If so I guess I'll try for it every workout. I didn't count that last set as a ten...I could have done more but felt the cramp returning. what are your thoughts?

Hi Mike,

I often come to your site for inspiration and I never fail to find it. This sentence "Extra cardio, fat burners, trendy gym memberships, and all of those kinds of things might help just a little bit, for a very short while, but there is simply no substitute for rugged, gut-busting workouts, and for gritty determination when the going gets really tough." There have been points in this particular challenge number five that have been especially mentally challenge and I've had to dig deep and it is gritty determination that truly has gotten me through. Thank you again for all of your supportive efforts to all of us on the Guestbook, you show every single day what a true Champion is made of.

Regards,
Michelle

When you said "And the only way that will really work is to make the challenge the number one priority in your life for the next twelve weeks", it made me realise that is is OK to focus on this challenge, live and breathe it for the next 8 weeks,(I have just started week 5) I thought i was abnormal or too preoccupied with it but now im even more committed. Thankyou for your words of wisdom.

Mike, thanks for this post. It has come at a very good time. I am almost half way through my first challenge and I haven't seen any dramatic changes yet...and I keep thinking to myself- what am I doing wrong? what did the champions do that I am not doing? what's their secret? Its great to know that I just have to stay motivated and keep doing what I am doing and the results should come soon.
Thanks again!
